It is a joy and privilege to serve as your international directors this Toastmasters year! The vim, vigor and vitality of the leaders in all eight of our districts make it an incredible experience for us. Our hope and goal is that we will add value to your Toastmasters experience as well.

  Throughout Region VIII, the power of Toastmasters vibrantly helps individuals reach their own personal goals, dreams, and ambitions. There is no finer purpose and it fits perfectly into our international president's theme of "Toastmasters: Confidence . Leadership . Service "

  We look forward to visiting all 8 districts this Toastmasters year.  Meeting new friends and seeing old friends all around the region is refreshing and exciting. The enthusiasm level in each district is incredibly high. This Toastmasters year will be especially memorable as we all share our appreciation for the energy and vitality in each district.

As you work hard to help members from your districts reach their personal goals, you will see that hard work translates into incredible achievements at the district level, reaching distinguished or better status. We have confidence that all eight districts will reach their goals. Remember, the ultimate measure of success is not that of achieving distinguished district status, but rather is in the sense of satisfaction that you personally gain from knowing that you have given your VERY BEST .

  Last year, Region VIII was the highest achiever in North America . As your international directors, we will celebrate your collective achievements throughout the year.

  It is time for new goals to be reached, new dreams to be realized, and new desires to be satisfied. District teams are in place to serve their clubs and members with diligence and, in so doing, realize their dreams.

 Let us pursue our dream with passion. Let us give it all we have. Let us step up and Lead our teams with Confidence, and let us Serve our members as we all work together to achieve the common goal of ... 8 for 8 in Region VIII.
